The neighbor 2016

媒體聲音中的真實與想像。

「隔壁房間」是居住在台北公寓時的真實事件改編而成。由於我住的房間是用合成夾板隔出的，因此時常聽見鄰居在房間內發出的聲響。某一日連續不尋常的聲響，促成了作品對不可見事件的好奇。

鄰居搬離後，我帶著攝影機與兩個演員回到現場－並非要實證或再現當時的事件－而是透過拆解影像和聲音的組合，去描繪媒體訊息裡「收聽」和「確信」的過程。

音訊透過住在公寓的敘事者口述，而影像透過兩位演員在鏡頭前重演口白的內容。拍攝當下所錄製的實際聲音，最終在作品中被徹底去除，只留下牆後聲響所形成不可還原的一個事件，以及空間外下雨的環境音。

“The neighbor” It is based on the true events while living in apartment in Taipei. A series of unusual noises through the wall, evoked to the work's curiosity about the sound between reality and fiction.

After the they moved out, I returned to the neighbor’s room with two actors. The audio is dictated by the narrator who lives in the apartment, and the movement replayed by two actors in front of the camera. The actual sound recorded at the moment was completely removed, leaving only an irreducible event formed by the sound behind the wall, and the ambient sound of rain outside the space.
